Chair at Citi-NIE Financial Literacy Hub for Teachers

Dr Koh Noi Keng is a Senior Lecturer at the National Institute of Education Singapore, which is an institute of the Nanyang Technological University. Advocating diversity in teaching and learning at the sole teacher training institute, Dr Koh is a also the champion of financial literacy in Singapore and is involved in spearheading financial and business education in Singapore schools since her MOE HQ days when she was the Senior Curriculum Specialist. Using engaging pedagogies and a model that has great multiplier effect, she has positioned NIE in the forefront of the University’s work in this area. She has been the Chair of the NIE Financial Literacy Hub for Teachers since it was launched on 31 October 2007 and is the President of the Association of Commerce Educators (ACES) for the past 9 years. She was invited to be on the Advisory Board of MDIS College and is consultant to various organizations like LCCI, MYOB, NETS and Citi for education programmes.

Specialities: Research into engaging pedagogies, mixed-mode delivery, ICT, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, intern-ship, serious games and learning environment.

Sarjit Singh

Executive Chairman at Ardent

Sarjit has over 24 years of multinational experience including 16 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he led the audit and advisory engagements of various multinationals, public listed companies, GLCs, financial institutions and SMEs in Singapore, Asia, Australia, and USA.

He has deep technical knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, SGX listing requirements and IPOs, IFRS, US GAAP, Risk-Based-Capital framework, MAS regulations, SOX compliance, corporate governance, enterprise risk and capital management and internal audit. Prior to joining Ardent, Sarjit served as CFO of AIA Singapore and Aviva Asia.

He was responsible for formulating and implementing the financial, investment and commercial strategies for AIA Singapore and Aviva’s diverse businesses in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region respectively. Sarjit also served as CFO of AIG Global Investment Corporation, AIG Global Real Estate and AIG Private Bank.

Sarjit was appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) since 2010 for his expertise in Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Controls and Auditing. He is a sought after speaker and regularly shares his expertise at NTU MBA, the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, MAS and SGX.
